At eleven years of age, Lameck’s mother passed away. The only way he felt he could express his frustration was through writing. At 16, Lameck struggled with depression due to a dark past and the death of his mother but overcame these various challenges to become a local rising star.
In 2006, Lameck was first discovered as an artist on the political activist Wasuns album entitled “What Must Be Done”. He went on to release the first album of his own, “Kamouflage Kollage” which featured Abdominal and his older brother, rapper Nish. With a combination of Hip-hop, Reggae, and a variety of other influences, Lameck finished an eclectic album with Dutty Brucks. Using his struggles as inspiration, he tells his story to inspire others to overcome their difficulties in life.
