Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Scotty Hard is now a New York based producer/engineer/recording artist. He has worked with a variety of artists, from Salif Keita to Wu Tang Clan. Over the past year he has produced and or mixed records for Mamelo Sound System and Cordell Incantado de Fogo in Brazil, The Dears, Medeski, Martin and Wood (with John Scofield), Vijay Iyer/Mike Ladd and many others, as well as releasing his own record, "Radical Reconstructive Surgery", on Thirsty Ear Recordings.
